A Poem Not For All

This poem is not for you to read
Please, if you are a supremacist

This poem is not for you to read
If you deny someone their homeland

This poem is not for you to read
If your conscience is sleeping still

This poem is for those children
Sleeping senseless, under the rubles

This poem is for those orphans
Crying for their dead parents

This poem is for those parents
With the dead children in their laps

This poem is not for you to read
When you cannot hear children cries

This poem is not for you to read
When you consider them, human animal

This poem is not for you to read
When you don’t recognize genocide

This poem is for the people of Gaza
Homeless, driven out of their homeland

This poem is for them in the West Bank –
Occupied, stripped out of their freedom

This poem is for every Palestinian
Under the siege, at the gun point

This poem is not for you to read
Not marching on the street in protest

This poem is not for you to read
Not demanding immediate cease-fire

This poem is not for you to read
Not calling for freedom of Palestine

This poem is for the displaced people
Living under the open sky on the sand

This poem is for home schools and hospitals
Destroyed, under constant bombardments

This poem is for every journalist, murdered
For their crime of reporting the naked truths

This poem is not for you to read
Celebrating hatred for thy neighbors

This poem is not for you to read
Remaining indifferent to the war crimes

This poem is not for you to read
Dreaming of a world without Palestine

This poem is for the mankind to awake
Standing in solidarity with the oppressed

This poem is for humanity to be active
Assembling the good will and deeds

This poem is for those poets to read
Feeling the pains of human cries…
